On a production environment, we’ve got an error during the configuration of BizTalk.
This error was : This server has already joined a group. To reconfigure the server, run the BizTalk Server Configuration Wizard
The environment was :
- 2 BizTalk Server
- 3 SQL Server in cluster
After many search on google, I’ve seen this post : http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/biztalkgeneral/thread/ef39a16d-06a7-4704-aec7-8ff0b94cfb61 which explain that the name of the BizTalk Server must be choosen carefully.
Indeed after checking the Configuration Log, we’ve seen that the computer name was truncated by BIZTALK_SRV_PRO instead of BIZTALK_SRV_PRODUCTION due to the limitation of 15 characters with NetBios…. arg!!!!
After changing the name of the server, everything works fine.
